WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE:
- • Mucking out stables and field management
- • Support in maintaining and health and safety of the yard
- • Working as a sessional staff member when required to support the delivery of equine assisted education programmes
- • Providing horse care including bandaging and application of medication
- • Turning out and bringing in horses
- • Feeding, watering and haying
- • Ability to work under work-related pressure (deadlines and priorities)
- • Horse Grooming, clipping and trimming
- • Tacking up, Lunging/long reining
- • Assist in managing contractors e.g Vet, farrier, dentist, other contractors
- • Assist in maintaining and managing equipment
- • Keeping staff and volunteers informed of any issues that may arise
