We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and friendly individual with a genuine love for horses to join our small, professional team at a leading dressage training and breeding yard. With 24 foals expected this season, this is an exciting opportunity to be closely involved in foaling and the early development of youngstock in a high-quality, professional environment.
The successful candidate will take great pride in their work and maintain exceptionally high standards of animal care. This is ideally a live-in role to assist with foaling, including night checks on a rota basis, alongside the daily care, wellbeing and handling of mares, foals and youngsters. You will be working within a close-knit, experienced in-house team alongside industry-leading farriers, vets, physios and other specialists.
Previous experience within a commercial equine stud or equine nursing environment is essential, along with strong equine first aid experience and confidence handling Warmblood youngsters. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced setting, has a positive team-player attitude and is motivated by continual learning and personal development. Experience as a qualified AI technician would be advantageous but is not essential. This is a challenging, fun and highly rewarding role, offering the chance to play a key part in foals’ early lives before they progress into training, competition careers or are sold to exciting new homes around the world. Regular training is provided, and we actively encourage ongoing professional development, so a curious and progressive mindset is important.
