Due to the relocation of a longstanding member of staff, a lovely opportunity has arisen to join a small team on a well known stud farm in Helmsley. We require a team member who has experience with thoroughbred horses and is confident in themselves and has a passion for what they do.
Duties to include:
– Caring for broodmares, mares, yearlings and foals – Mucking out, turning in and out – Tractor driving experience – preferable – Confident and able to take charge in Managers’ absence – Work well as part of a small team
- All aspects of stud work
The stud is located 5 minutes from the centre of Helmsley.

The stud can take up to 45 horses and we cater all year round for resting racehorses including those who are foaling.
It has recently undergone a refurbishment with new stud management and improvements to facilities.
Due to the investment, the stud has gained more interest and is growing as a result.
We require a solid & reliable stable hand to assist main staff with mucking out, walker changeovers, feeding & general yard duties.
