Our Apprentice will be between the ages of 16 to 19 and resident in the UK. You will receive full training towards a recognised qualification including BHS exams. This is a training opportunity at a well known yard with a good reputation. You will be required to work a five day week including one weekend day and one evening per week. You will receive training on 2 days per week together with supervised work experience on the yard. You will have training to carry out all normal yard activities including mucking out, catching and turning out, grooming, tacking up, assisting clients and members of the public. You may receive training to teach and coach if this is an interest. There may also be the opportunity for extra riding under supervision according to ability.
There is the possibility of basic shared accommodation. We have a cafe on site serving light meals and drinks.
Training for a career with horses is demanding work requiring committment and self motivation, early mornings and occasional late nights. In return there are many opportunities for advancement and the satisfaction of a job well done.

The successful Trainee will be cheerful, enthusiastic and self-motivated. You must be prepared to work in all weathers and most of all you must enjoy being with people and horses. We promise to train you and help you to be the best you can be in the world of equitation.

Commercial riding school and career training centre. Owner competes, judges and trains Dressage. 40 horses/ponies. Indoor with wax surface and outdoor school with floodlights. American style barn with automatic drinkers, rubber matting, wash bay and solarium. Lecture room, staff room, usual offices. X country and show jumps. Small students self contained flat.
