We are looking for a reliable, kind and experienced stable hand/nanny to help a stay at home mum with two young children (newborn and 2yo) in Northern Ireland for a 6-month position, starting at the end of October 2026.
THE HORSES
We have 18 horses and ponies, the majority being retired ex-competition horses, along with 1 Clydesdale and 4 ponies.
The horses are kept in a large barn on an open-group system throughout the winter.
The stable role involves:
- Skipping out
- Feeding
- General daily horse care
The role is hands-on and physically demanding, so a good level of fitness and previous yard experience are essential.
You must be confident and experienced working safely among groups of horses.
CHILDCARE (Preferred but not essential)
The successful candidate would ideally help with the children as needed alongside the stable duties, although assistance with the horses is the priority.
Babysitting would not be set hours, but would generally be around once a week, with occasional additional help with the children during the day when required.
Previous childcare or nanny experience would be highly desirable, particularly experience with young children.
