Working with broodmares, foals and youngstock.
The work involves yardwork, mucking out, grooming, handling youngstock and inhand showing.
Training will be given by training provider as well as on the job training provided by qualified staff at the stud. The stud shows at County level and at breed society shows, show preparation and a chance to show in hand will be part of the role.
For a suitably qualified person Level 2 or 3 horse care apprenticeships are available.
Hours of work 9am until 6pm with an hour for lunch.
One day (fixed) at the weekend and four days in the week.
28 days holiday a year.
You will want to work with mares and youngsters.
There will be written work and practical work to complete for the apprenticeship.
Working in a qualified team. The Stud is an experienced apprenticeship provider.
There is a chance to compete inhand. Working with mares and foals.
