We are looking for a friendly, capable and reliable person to join our family near Wantage, in a part-time nanny / mother’s help role with a horsey element.

This is a varied, hands-on role helping with our two children alongside some involvement with our 3 ponies, so we are looking for someone who is both good with children and confident around horses.

We both work in racing and have busy schedules, so we’re looking for someone who can be a genuine extra pair of hands at home and get stuck in where needed.

The role includes:

• Helping with before and after school care
• School runs (full driving licence and own car essential)
• Coming along to Pony Club rallies and similar activities
• Light meal prep / cooking
• Being an extra pair of hands at home
• Helping with our ponies, including riding/leading/lunging, Poo picking, tack cleaning and general yard tasks

We’re looking for someone who is warm, practical and easy-going, who can use their initiative, see what needs doing and get on with things, and is happy to muck in with a mix of childcare and practical jobs.

Approx. 3 days per week (flexible), with the option for extra hours during school holidays and occasional babysitting.

• Full clean UK driving licence and own car essential
• Non-smoker preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a home environment with animals & children
• Happy to work flexibly around family life
• Willing to help with a mix of childcare, ponies and general day-to-day tasks
• References required
