Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Equine Yard Assistant to join our team, with a focus on general yard duties and experience working with young horses. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horse care and a strong work ethic, ready to contribute to our friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily care and management of up to 20 horses, including feeding, grooming, and mucking out stables.
• Handle young horses, including preparation for backing and breaking.
• Work with more established horses, providing riding assistance as needed for the right applicant.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
• Ensure the well-being of all horses and report any health issues to management.
• Collaborate with the team to create a positive and efficient working atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Experience with horse handling and general yard duties is essential.
• A basic understanding of equine behavior and welfare.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
