Self motivated and well organized groom to join family run competition dressage yard. We have indoor Monarch Stables, world class mares, foals and some young stock that need care, handling ready for backing and schooling. We also have some general liveries and take horses in for breaking/schooling and rehabilitation. Experience of working with young or highly bred horses an advantage. 40 acres of post and rail on chalk (very little mud!). We like our horses to be treated like horses and have daily turnout and care and attention. Some international travel to dressage competitions possible as well as national events throughout the UK. Must be able to spot if any horse needs help. All usual yard duties required. Own horse possible. We also have two donkeys and several sheep. Key personal attribute would be a caring attitude to animals and an ability to work in a team or alone as required. Driver with own car essential and licence to drive 7.5t lorry helpful. 5 or 5.5 days a week(37.5-41.5 hours/week) (8am - 5pm with 2 hours off for breaks per day).

Be a self starter, who puts horses before self and keen to work in high paced team environment. Ability to see jobs and do them rather than wait to be told! Able to take responsibility of sole-charge when needed and complete obvious paddock maintenance routine (pooh-picking, help us to mend rails , etc..)

Working with international dressage family. Opportunities to work with top level horses and join in training sessions when possible. Great hacking country. Own horse welcome. Help to find local accommodation can be arranged if needed.
