I am seeking a dedicated and experienced caretaker to LIVE on-site at my farm and provide exceptional care for my 2 competition, 1 young horse, and 2 retired dressage horses and occasional client horses. This individual will be responsible for the care of the horses and property on designated days, ensuring the horses health, safety, and well being, and maintaining open communication regarding farm needs and issues. I would so like someone to help with grooming experience. This position is PART-TIME and could be Monday, Tuesday, Saturday 8-2pm. Grooming 5 days a week for my two competition horses. NIGHT CHECKS EVERY night of the week, including HOLIDAYS as needed. This person must live on the property.
Key responsiblities:
- Clean stalls and ensure bedding is fresh and horses are fed.
- Turnout and bringing horses in safely.
- Blanketing horses appropriately based on weather conditions.
- Perform night checks every evening to ensure horses' safety and well being
- Be able to assess if a veterinarian must be called in cases of emergency
- Monitor farm to ensure everything is in working order and report any issues
- Notify owner when supplies (grain, hay, suppliments, shaveings) are needed
- Maintain cleanliness in around barn, feed room, tack room.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements
This is a Part-Time role requiring 20-25 hours per week. This is perfect for someone that is a professional caregiver or has flexibility with their current job.
- HOLIDAYS and EVERY NIGHT FEEDING AND NIGHT CHECKS ARE PART OF THE JOB.
- FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED because you are working with horses.
- Must able to communicate.
- Must be living locally in the Bay area or willing to fly in or drive in for an in person interview.
- Must provide 3 references (one personal, and 2 work related) and consistent long term work experience.
- Must be able to work with others
- Must love horses and the farm.
- This is not a temporary job. I am looking for someone long term.
