Show barn is seeking motivated and reliable Groom/Stable Hand for a long-term position.

We are a busy Hunter/Jumper barn with a great group of clients and horses.

We are looking for someone who is confident around horses, observant and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide daily, high-quality care for top-notch horses.

• Feeding and basic horse care

• Turnout and bringing horses in

• Mucking Stalls/cleaning and bedding

• Cleaning and filling water buckets and troughs

• Monitoring horses for injuries or changes in condition or behavior

• General farm chores

• Grooming, tacking, untacking, and bathing horses to Show Standards

• Wrapping, icing, etc.

• Tack cleaning

• Barn organization

Competitive pay based on experience. Housing and health care are available as part of compensation.

6 day work week, 7am to 4:30pm

Riding can be apart of the position depending on experience, but not required.

Traveling to shows can be a part of the job but not necessary. At home positions also available.

Based in Deep River, CT.

Apartments located on property. 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments. Private accommodations not guaranteed.
