What If Farms is a 501 (c) (3) non profit sanctuary for 8 rescued horses and 6 donkey rescues (plus one baby donkey), with 40 acres of grassland and ponds with pole barns and shelters surrounded by lush pastures and a Paddock Paradise track. The horses have the choice to be in or out of their stalls. We work as much as possible with the animals at liberty. What If Farms is a place where horses can just be horses, and donkeys (very sweet donkeys) can just be donkeys, interacting with humans in ways that benefit both human AND horse. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. What If Farms is very different than a traditional horse barn or farm, requiring an open mind and flexibility. Kindness is #1!.At What If Farms, the equine sanctuary residents are the protagonists of their own lives. are pioneers of the concepts introduced in the book "Equus Lost", doing course work at Learning Animals in Italy to be better able to promote this iconoclastic approach.
