Private rider looking for a full time groom. Six days/week, 7:30am-4pm + some night check.
My farms are in Lambertville, NJ (summer), and Loxahatchee, FL (winter). Salary is up to $1000/week, depending on experience. Sick days and vacation pay. Private housing for one person is available. Looking for someone who would like to work for at least a year. Since these are private barns, you should be comfortable working alone. Its just you and me most of the time.
The job is caring for 3 mature dressage geldings. Mucking, feeding, grooming, tacking up, lunging, cooling out, wrapping legs, tack cleaning, therapies, treadmill, etc. All the regular groom stuff. I haven't shown in a few years, but I don't rule it out. I am detail oriented, and will show you exactly how I want my horses handled--you should be comfortable with adjusting to anything that's different from what you are used to. This is not a riding job.
You must be experienced with show horses, reliable, and treat horses with kindness. A car will make your life much easier. You must be legal to work in the US. No drugs or drama. No smoking/vaping. No dogs. Possible dry stall for your horse.
Please reach out if you are looking for a well paid, long term job, and would like to spend the summer in lovely NJ, and the winter in warm FL!
