Pony Power Therapies, a nonprofit organization located in Mahwah, NJ, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Barn Manager to join our hardworking and compassionate team. The Assistant Barn Manager will play a critical role in supporting the daily care and management of our animals and facilities, in alignment with the Barn Manager’s plan and organizational standards. This position requires experience with equine and small animal care, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset. Experience teaching riding lessons, particularly in a therapeutic setting, is a plus. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with horses and barn management; therapeutic riding center experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of equine behavior, safety, and care. Experience teaching riding lessons (therapeutic or traditional) is a plus. Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to animal care. Strong communication and organizational skills. Team player who is flexible and willing to pitch in as needed. Valid driver’s license required

Must have experience managing a farm and handling horses, goats and pigs. Must be reliable, detail conscious and kind with the animals.
