Very unique dressage training and show barn ( that is on an Organic Farm) is in search of a fabulous and fun working student to join us immediately. Great group of people and horses in an industrious yet relaxed and calm environment. Have you ever imagined riding dressage bridleless? or play soccer on horseback? Must have a sense of humor, like young horses and learning new things and thinking outside the 'box'. We have a multi faceted operation with many different horses. Mares, a few foals a year, a stallion... ( lots of mares!!) Warmbloods to ponies... what we do: starting horses, FEI horses, sales horses, retrain difficult horses, retirement, rehab cases, boarding... and we offer an excellent atmosphere that this horse centered. This position includes riding depending on applicant's ability. Upper level experience not required, but a solid seat and an open mind are. Jumpers and eventers wanting to improve their dressage are welcome, too! Must be 18+, No drugs,no smoking and no drama please :) US citizens or those with a visa only. Opportunity to bring your own horse possible. Housing available. This is a program geared toward learning! This can turn into a long term position for the right person. Working Students are very important to us at Liberty Farms as you are learning to be the next generation of professionals in the Equine Industry. We offer Dressage training thru FEI.. Our Emphisis in Dressage is on training to the highest level in a harmonious and stress free way. You will learn how to run a Full service boarding and training facitity for performance horses. Depending on your level of riding there are riding opportunities, including clinics and shows. We are a farm specializing on a whole horse approach when it comes to care and training, you will learn how to customize and create programs for each individual horse. You will learn all aspects of horse care and first aid and equine nutrition.

If you want to learn how to be the best rider you can be while insuring your horse a long and healthy career/life this is a must! The days can be long and hard but so worth what you get out of it! Katrin is very knowledgeable and puts the horse first. Starting with the individualized feeding program, and I mean individualized! Right down to what type of hay they get! All to insure the horses diet aids them in health and performance. For myself this is hands down the best decision I have made to progress in my riding career!

Liberty Farms Equestrian is an upscale, friendly boarding and training facility catering primarily to Dressage and Pleasure riders set on a 300-acre organic farm. Our trainers are dedicated to training in a 'horse centered' method that recognizes each horse as an individual. Our head trainer Katrin Derreumaux has trained numerous horses to the FEI level. Her philosophy/method focuses on Balance, Biomechanics, Classical Dressage and horsemanship. Her attention to detail and systematic approach has allowed for many 'difficult horses' to be brought up the levels. We have a small Elite warmblood breeding program, are involved with the retraining and gentling of BLM mustangs and have worked with many OTTB's. We offer board, lessons, and housing plus pay to our working students. We are dedicated to teaching and sharing our knowledge of Dressage as a basis for all training and integrated horse care and management.
