STUD GROOM POSITION The Old Berkshire Hunt require a stud groom for the season 24 / 25. This is a permanent position which comes with on site accommodation with all bills included. We are a competion stable and riding club based beneath beautiful Mt.Fuji with 30 horse, and 20 minutes away from one of the biggest competition sites in Japan. We are looking for an experienced groom/rider to join our team working full time in the stables, riding, grooming and support Okamoto teach another lessons. Successful applicants will join us at competions, supporting the team with a chance to compete on our highly trained competion horses. Room and board provided.

Most of the horses being used in our program have been born here as have their mothers and grandmothers. Nearly all have been sired by cutting or reining, million dollar sires such as Wimpys Little Step, Gallo Del Cielo, SG Frozen Enterprize, Others have been sired by up and coming producing stallions such as Yellow Jersey, Starjac Vintage, & Wranglin In Chex. We do not train nor board outside horses & are also involved in an equine jobs for youth program.
Fox Heath is a large Hunter/Equitation facility located in eastern Pennsylvania. Boarding, training, showing and lesson facility. The business has a well established lesson program with the use of 15+ lesson horses and 20+ boarders that range from pleasure to show clients. Fox Heath is looking for an individual to step into the pre-existing program and teach beginner to advanced (advanced riders at 3' hunter/equitation.) Our lesson program is focused around a local show circuit called Associated Horse Shows and IEA. Spring-Fall show calendar consists of 2-3 local shows and 1 rated show a month. Fall-Winter months the farm focus is turned to IEA and Fox Hunting
Applicant will be required to work 6 days a week with one day off (excluding Saturday or Sunday). Priority hours are as follows: weekdays 7am-9am and 3pm-8pm; weekends 7am-5pm. All team members commit their time and loyalty to the success of the business – a commitment which often involves working extended hours. These should be expected, especially during horseshow weekends and events. Position expectations and daily tasks include but not limited to: -Administering AM/PM Medications -Assisting in boarder hospitality -Keeping barn organized -Farm projects which may include painting, organizing and cleaning -Training rides and lunging client/lesson horses. Comfortable riding green horses. -Treatment and care of horses (wrapping and wound treatment, etc.) -Blanket and sheet turnover as weather dictates -Clipping and mane pulling -Holding for vet, farrier, dentist -Home horse show setup and assisting with horse show managing -Teaching summer camp lectures and assisting summer camp counselors
Fox Heath offers many services and riding opportunities, including: a comprehensive lesson program, boarding, horse shows, hunter paces, fox chasing, sales and leasing. The farm provides an equestrian experience in the setting of a country estate. Riding facilities are extensive and include an indoor riding arena, a lighted hunter show ring, a jumper ring with an Irish bank, an all weather schooling ring, a round pen, an 8 acre outside hunt course, and trails. Fox Heath offers it’s students the opportunity to ride in the ring and out cross country. Students range in age from three years old to seniors. Also featured is a fully stocked tack shop and boutique.
