Suzanne Myers Performance Horses (SMPH) has an immediate opening for the position of barn manager. Duties include feeding, turnout, stall cleaning, managing health care and farrier appointments, preparing for departure and return from shows, foal watch and other reproduction responsibilities, and other activities as they arise. Experience handling horses and a keen eye for equine behavior is required. Responsibilities may also include the management of volunteers and 1 or 2 other staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and an extreme work ethic; will have strong organizational skills and experience in veterinary first aid and care for horses; and, will be efficient in their work day and have the ability to multi-task when the need arises.
