Join the Gateway HorseWorks’ team of horses and people at our farm facility in Malvern, PA! With 15 acres and 6 horses, this is an exciting opportunity for an equine professional to join a nonprofit organization delivering cutting-edge Eagala Model equine-assisted psychotherapy in Chester County!

Roles and Responsibilities: Gateway HorseWorks is seeking to fill a unique, part-time Barn Associate position, with opportunities for growth within the organization, with the following qualifications:

A proven history of working with horses: Ability to execute the daily care and general wellbeing of the herd including: Monitor care & wellbeing of horses Turn out/bring in horses and feed Clean stalls Clean water troughs Throw down hay/straw and stack Pick feet Change blankets when necessary

Collaborative work experience: Partner with the Barn Manager to oversee supply needs for barn & farm Work with volunteers to clean the barn Assist the Executive Director with special projects

Necessary Skills Include: Due to the nature of our services, all applicants must have an ability to pass background checks and provide county mandated clearances.
The ability to complete work efficiently and timely in an organized manner Ability to react quickly and problem solve issues Maintain client confidentiality High rate of task completion in both efficiency and quality Superior communication skills Ability to multi-task
