Participate and assist in the day to day operations of running a full care and training operation for jumpers in their development. Daily chores include grooming, tacking, riding, clipping, barn organization, holding horses for the vet, farrier etc. The main string of horses is 8 to 10 horses in full training and care ages 5 to 10. There is an opportunity for riding for the right candidate but this is not a riding position. This is a position for someone that wishes to become more educated in the care of top sport horses and the production of young jumpers or someone with expirence that enjoys a calm quite predictable enviroment with nice horses to care for each day. You may be traveling with us to the Horse Show's which would include Upperville, Lexington, Kentucky, Devon, Hampton Classic, Harrisburg and the winter circuit in Ocala (WEC). Although there is the option to stay at home.

Housing is provided in both locations in beautiful Upperville, Virginia, and at our farm located five minutes from the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.

Our team is a family. We maintain a good atmosphere and a positive environment. We believe in best practices when it comes to caring for the horses under our care. We expect you to take you time with each horse in everything. A typical work week is 5 1/2 to 6 days a week with Sunday or Monday as a day off. We start at 7:00 AM and are typically finished in the barn around 4:00/ 5:00 PM. There is no mucking out unless we are on the road.
