Super Position for Experienced Stud Groom to work in dressage stud with world class Broodmares and Foals
Working 5-6 hours per day Monday to Friday.
This is a privately owned and run stud business which has been trading for 10 years now, we have an amazing mare herd and a growing track record for breeding top class Dressage horses that we sell to professional riders all over the world. Consequently we strive for excellence in EVERYTHING we do. This is a place for people who are very passionate and committed to what they do.
Therefore the successful candidate MUST be;
- experienced in handling broodmares, foal and youngstock
- be experienced in backing and bringing on young horses
- be able to exercise and manage the fitness of ridden stock
- have high standards of equine care & management and an eye for detail
- be reliable, particularly given the precision & accuracy of timing needed for stud work/AI
- be willing to be adaptable under difficult circumstance
- be willing to assist in night watch duties during the foaling season
- be motivated and comfortable to work alone for the greatest part of the time

Own horse welcome so long as it does not distract the candidate from meeting their daily obligations/duties
Experience with foals and youngstock is absolutely essential, this is not an amateur's role this requires a very motivated, disciplined and structured individual in order for them to be successful
Equine Qualifications & Professional References are required
Live out role only, and no dogs allowed site.

Turn out & Bring In
Daily Broodmare care & management
Feeding, Grooming, Foot Care
Assistance with Scanning & AI under veterinary supervision
Up to 6 foals & youngstock (incl. foals & colts) and 2 ponies
One childs cob to excercise (3 days/week)
Daily dog walking duties
5-6 hrs/day (Mon-Fri)
