All yard duties

Mucking out, haynets, waters, turn out of horses and catch in. Grooming and show preparation, plaiting and clipping as well as some lungeing work. Training will be provided where needed.

Possibility of riding for the right person. Applicants must be able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team. There will be lots of opportunity to learn whether its just general horse care, dressage or show jumping. Some experience with stallions may be helpful but full training will be given for handling so confidence around horses is the most important thing. We are looking for some with an upbeat personality, drive to improve and who enjoys working with horses. Currently looking for a level 2 apprentice to work approximately 5 days with one college day per week for training. Candidates will be assessed at college and on the job working towards the qualification. Hours will be in line with the apprenticeship and some flexibilty on start and finish times will be needed for competition days. Excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of horses both competition and livery horses. Attention to detail and pride in work are important characteristics.

Dressage and showjumping yard offering some livery also. Home to an ambitious rider working towards Grand Prix and seeking dedicated support in return for a great working environment. A great opportunity for someone to learn new skills and gain exposure to a wide range of show environments both dressage and show jumping. All horses are kind and well behaved. Training on the job will be given where needed to ensure standards are maintained. Attendance at training as well as shows possible to allow learning through observation as well as on the job training. Fantastic facilities with ongoing improvements all the time. Up to 20 horses from ponies on livery through to 16.2 dressage and show jumping horses.
