Immediate start for one month to cover changeover. Very high standard of daily care required for 13 horses inc. turning out, bringing in, grooming/trimming/clipping to a show groom standard by an experienced person. Mucking out on 8 horses most of whom live out at night all year round (the yearlings live out day and night), exercising 5-6 of them on a daily basis inc. hacking, lungeing and schooling, attending for vet/farrier. You will work with and be under the supervision of an experienced farm/horse manager and the owner. However, it is essential that you are sufficiently experienced also. You may be asked to be in sole charge during annual leave. You will also be required to provide daily care for 2 very friendly Labradors, sheep and chickens. This is a beautiful farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty with fabulous facilities and endless off -road hacking, 40 mins drive from London. We need a friendly, happy, hardworking person who loves animals to look after our gorgeous, well-behaved horses including youngsters, brood mares and foals. Some handling experience with youngsters is necessary. We have Elite graded horses who require the same level of care and the yard's philosophy is centred around promoting an environment that creates very happy horses (and people!).
Local reliable and trustworthy local person with own transport essential. There is no accommodation offered and sorry we cannot accommodate your own horse.
