Duties of Current Occupation

Horse care, grooming, show prep, tacking up, teaching, equine first aid, bandaging, injections, mucking out, staff training, green horses, client care, live-in roles, stable management, safety, managing feeds, and staff rostering.

Equine Work Experience

I have over five years of diverse equine experience, including a live-in role at Universal Stables caring for high-level show and competition horses. Skilled in daily horse care such as feeding, grooming, mucking out, turnout, and stable management. Experienced in show preparation, including grooming, plaiting, and assisting at competitions. Proficient in handling green and behavioural horses with patience and confidence.

Instructing and supporting riders of all levels, including children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, has been a significant part of my work. I’m trained in equine first aid and emergency response, capable of managing stable safety and handling urgent situations calmly. I’ve also taken leadership roles such as staff rostering, conflict resolution, and training new team members.

I adapt quickly to busy environments, work independently or as part of a team, and consistently maintain high standards of horse welfare and yard cleanliness.

Specialities

Extensive hands-on knowledge in horse care, stable management, show prep, and handling green or complex horses. Confident with equine first aid, bandaging, injections, feeding plans, and health checks. Skilled in grooming, tacking, float-loading, lunging, and supporting riders. Experienced with high-level competition horses. Also familiar with maintaining medical records, worming, and medications. Reliable, independent, and experienced in live-in yard roles.

Type of Ride Work

I have experience in dressage and jumping, confidently working with green, schoolmaster, and competition horses. At this stage, I am seeking ground-based roles only that focus on stable management, horse care, and supporting riders, allowing me to fully settle into a new country and environment. Once settled, I’m more than happy and eager to take on riding duties and expand my responsibilities.

Competition Details

I have supported multiple professional riders both at home and at competitions, assisting with horse preparation, grooming, and general stable duties. I have also competed personally, gaining valuable insight into the demands of competitive riding and horse care. This experience has given me a strong understanding of show day routines, horse management under pressure, and teamwork in a high-performance environment.
