Duties of Current Occupation

I have been teaching for about 27 years now in riding schools around the world. While show jumping is my 1st love, I also teach reining, western pleasure, & eventing. I have a love for the third world & a passion for teaching all levels of riders!

Equine Work Experience

I Grew up in West Africa competing with Arabs and Barbs. Competed in hunter equitation and low Jumpers and worked for many top show jumpers in Alberta, Canada. Also ran the riding program between two western ranch camps in Alberta. Worked with Arab show horses and coached in the Southern States. Did contract teaching jobs in riding schools in the Czech Republic, the UAE, and Malaysia. Started my own riding school in the UAE specializing in jumping, dressage, and endurance, Worked at the Pony Club at the Royal Stables in Abu Dhabi. I also have worked with stables in Albania and Armenia. Sole charge, experience buying and selling prospect horses and ponies, Basic farrier skills, Class 2 license and extensive hauling experience, written several riding programs adapted to specific stables and their missions, sound knowledge in equine first aid, health and nutrition, conditioning, and competition. Long term cliental relations- references available upon request.

Specialities

I have had been privileged to learn from some amazingly skilled horsemen on biomechanics of riding which I consider some of the most valuable tools for solid fundamental teaching. I love working with riders to accomplish their goals either as athletes, hobbyists, competitors, & fellow lovers of these amazing animals. I love seeing my student excel & understand the dynamics of the human-equine partnership & believe in exploring all angles of that partnership to solve problems they may be having.
