Equine Work Experience
I have 20+ years of riding experience. I ride both western and english. I have jumped up to 2'9, but have the most experience jumping 2'6. I was a member of the Canadian College Rodeo Association for the 4 years I attended post secondary. I have multiple years experience working in the back barns at the Calgary Stampede for Light horse as well as Draft Horse Town. I have done 2 seasons working on the chuckwagon circuit. I also have experience in barn manager duties as well as farm manager.
Specialities
I have worked with green to finished horses. Lots of OTTB and high level jumpers, as well as rodeo, reining horses and I have done 2 seasons on the Chuckwagon Circuit. I am proficient with computers, organizing, and leadership. I am fast at mucking out stalls, organizing feed schedules and harrowing arenas. I can run equipment, and am a decent handyman.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden everything from green to finished rope horses. Flat work, jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, roping. I can also harness horses for 4 and 2-ups. I have never started a horse but have done halter breaking and ground work
Competition Details
I have competed in low level shows for jumping, mostly fun shows. I have been the main barn hand for one of the top drivers in the World Professional Chuckwagon Circuit for 2 seasons, as well as competed in the Alberta Barrel Racing Association and the Canadian College Rodeo Association.
