Bio
Hi! I am a 18yr horse lover who is hoping to expand my knowledge about horses by becoming a full-time working student. I plan to finish my work as a camp counsellor this summer, then start up in September, and switch to online school in my final yearQualifications
I am first aid certified with the Red Cross.
Duties of Current Occupation
I have worked with children and parents as a ski coach, and summer camp counsellor for many years. I have also done volunteer work for some horse barns during the summer.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for 8 years and have been around horses my entire life. I have worked with all kinds of horses and feel very comfortable at groundwork with all types of horses. I have helped with sweeping, mucking, and feed at my barn and other barns in my area.
Type of Ride Work
I plan to event, though I currently mostly ride flat, with jumping once a week at 2-3ft. I have a horse who is unfortunately lame and will never be able to take me eventing. I have been riding in the lesson program and hope to achieve more.
Competition Details
I have been a competition groom many times and only competed at small shows myself. I have volunteered as a gate judge for some competitions as well.
