Hi, I'm Libby. I am looking for a full-time grooms/riding job in Lincolnshire. Currently based LN5 area but can travel up to 25/30mins. I am incredibly hard working and dedicated to the love of horses. If you are interested in potentially hiring me - Please check out my profile and CV. Thank you, Libby Rimmer
I’m 19 and looking for a working student position to further my riding skills. I have just started cantering, and I aspire to be a trainer. I am motivated to make a career in the equine industry!
I have an instructor qualification from the Estonian Qualifications Authority.
PS! Located in England, can travel.
I instructed children (ages 8-16) and gave riding lessons in a riding school. Besides that, I rode my own horse daily and occasionally others.
I have competed in show jumping up to 100cm and in training jumped up to 120cm but when I started working with young horses, the competing has fallen behind the scenes. I want to find a job in a foreign country in a stable where I can work with horses, ride and at the same time learn new things. I'm a quick learner and a team player.
I did compete with my own horse in showjumping during 2018-2019.
I worked in a breeding and showjumping stable in Germany for about a year in 2008/2009. That was a really good experience for me and I learned a lot. I groomed horses there, rided and went to the shows as a groom.
In January 2010 I was in Denmark for 4 months as a groom. It was a nice family, who had about 14 horses. I was the only groom, I took care of the daily work, making horses ready for the riders, grooming at shows, sometimes rided myself.
I have been to international horse shows as a groom (during 2008-2019) in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
My life besides horses has been in the aviation security field. I worked at Tallinn airport for around 7 years. My latest occupation was training- and quality specialist where I had to make sure all my staff is trained according to regulations, organize trainings and train the staff myself. I have also had many managing occupations as well, therefore I can lead a team too.
I have worked in stables before and I am very conscientious and tidy. I can turn out and muck out to a high standard.
I used to break in young horses a lot, but now I enjoy developing already broken in youngsters and train them mostly for jumping. But my goal also is to develop myself in showjumping and showing and I do believe I have the scope to be an even better rider. I would also be perfectly happy being a groom and getting to exercise the horses from time to time.
I have been part of organizing a few small national shows before and competed up to 100cm myself. Currently, when we hold shows for our riding school riders, I'm one of the organizers and I design the courses as well. The day also includes announcing riders and being a judge (note - not a licensed judge, but thinking of getting licensed). I have also a lot of experience as a show groom over the years both at home shows and international shows up to CSI2*.
