Equine Work Experience
I am a horse rider trained by a jumping coach, Olivier Annequin, trained in English riding style, flatwork, dressage, jumping, eventing, longing, breaking, exercises with young horses, bareback riding, bridleless riding. Riding several days/week and competing on weekends. Living in Namibia as a horse manager, I was in charge of taking care that all the daily barn chores were done by our 3 employees and myself helping them. I was in charge of taking care of first aid cares for horses (bleeding or other injuries). I helped the physio taking care of horses. My role was also to take horses out every day, either longing them, riding them for training, or riding them in 5 hours safari tours in the bush, surrounded by giraffes, springboks, oryxs, kudus, rhinoceros, and many more.
Then, helping to train the young Murgese horses, my role was to train them every day from the very first stage of accepting a human touching them, to finally bring them in wild trails in the mountains for a trek.
Specialities
I used to train young horses and bring them in jumping competitions. I was also training horses ready to jump, making them evolve from the lowest level of jumping to higher levels. I also used to break horses from the stage they were totally wild, while helping a rancher who welcomed 10 Murgese horses (italian horses), 5 mares, 4 foals, one stallion "Norbert". Working with stallions and foals is not new for me. Riding stallions as well.
Type of Ride Work
I've been trained in a jumping competition team during 5 years and I've been trained by our competition team coach for more than 12 years. We were training horses for flatwork, dressage, jumping, eventing. Later, I trained horses for endurance races. I also used to be a horse safari guide in Namibia, so, we teached young horses to be safe and peaceful surrounded by wildlife.
Competition Details
I competed in France and in international competitions in 120cm height jump for 5 years. In many places in France, waking up early and competing every weekend. I did the French championships. I was used to taking care of horses, the transportation, the stables on site, feeding, water, grooming, cleaning the leathers.
