Duties of Current Occupation
Feeding, caring for horses, grooming, mucking out, tacking up, riding, taking out customers on treks, handling a foal, fencing, grassland maintenance, stable maintenance,
Equine Work Experience
Worked on a ranch in Canada for three weeks and a stables in Co.Mayo for over a year altogether
I learned a lot of my riding in Mayo, a coworker who is a former show jumper taught me everything and gave me lessons, I also had been taking private lessons at an equitation centre nearby. I got up to a good enough level between the two to attend equine college.
Completed two years in Gurteen College studying Horsemanship and Equitation level 5 & 6, practical and theoretical lessons.
Specialities
Eager to work with horses. Worked with a friend in Quebec, Canada for 3 weeks, a trekking centre in Co.Mayo Ireland for 8 months and a sports horse yard for two weeks work experience. Currently doing my BHS1 , can walk, trot, canter and do small jumps but I could definitely improve and would love some help with that, I’ve also been taking private lessons.
Currently doing level 5 horsemanship in Gurteen Agricultural College
