Studying equine science in UL, looking for more experience with horses in different aspects of horse industry and sport disciplines.Qualifications
I’m currently studying in University of Limerick for my Certificate in Equine Science.
Duties of Current Occupation
work experience in Clonlara Equestrian Centre. Helped muck out and exercise my neighbours ponies.
Equine Work Experience
Experience riding various horses in walk, trot & canter. I attend clonshire each week through my college course and carry out practical sessions with horses both in saddle and on the ground. Includes horse care such as brushing & cleaning out hooves, tacking up, leading horses to arena, working with them in hand to carry out warm up, then followed by ridden sessions.
Specialities
Worked with riding school horses, ex-competition horses and ponies. Worked part of a team to prep horses and ponies for riding school lessons/treks.
Type of Ride Work
I’ve done flatwork and lots of hacking. I’ve also done small jumps and had to stop due to a bad fall but I’m to progress again to larger jumps in the near future.
