Bio
Hi, my name is Kayla, I’m 20 years old. I own 2 horses. I have a full driving licence and I recently completed year 2 of honours degrees in bachelor of Bioveterinary science. I have previous experience on a stud yard & have been around horses since 5
Qualifications

Commencing 3rd year lvl8 in Bioveterinary science in Tus Athlone

Duties of Current Occupation

I have worked on a stud yard with broodmares foaling, youngstock, stallions and just general yard work. I have plenty riding experience but only on personal pony who is now retired 3 years. I have worked in dunnes stores for nearly 4 years also.

Equine Work Experience

I have hunted 3 seasons on my Connemara, hunter trails, smaller showjumping 80-90 due to ponies ability. Cross country schooling, hacking, everything. Flatwork was never my ponies specialty. I am confident handling youngstock and bigger horses on the ground. I have loved horses from the age of 5 and ridden in a riding school from that age onward until a recent break due to my ponies retirement. Also studying Bioveterinary science gives me a great knowledge on horses behaviours, how to handle them and care for them.

Specialities

I have worked with foals, feeding the stallions. Handling mares and foals being seen by the vet. Preparing both mare and foal for sales. I have a professional camera that I can use for sales photos and videos. Im well versed for ground work with horses would not be as confident in the saddle only due to riding my bombproof pony only and never green or hot horses, I also have not properly ridden in 3 years I plan to return with my rising two year old 3/4 draught

Type of Ride Work

Hunting, 80-90 showjumping, cross country, hunter trials, hacking, pony games, polo and minimal flatwork but a bit of everything.
