Duties of Current Occupation

mucking out, skipping out, riding, groom horses, sweeping/ maintaining yards, tacking horses up, bandaging, turning out to sand/ grass paddocks. Instructor to all ages and abilities and trail guide for clients taking horses out on the trails.

Equine Work Experience

8 years yard experience as a voluntary stable hand. Currently working in a yard doing lessons and trail rides, working with young sport horses, buying and selling etc Riding for 18 years, have done flat, dressage and show jumping, helped at an equine therapy yard where I lead children and adults who have disabilities. Currently teach a group of 4 special athletes for the Special Olympics. Rode out livery horses/ young horses when needed. Haying and feeding horses, lunging and loose schooling horses. freelance lessons for children/ adults with livery horses. Groom and prep for livery owners for competitions/shows.

Specialities

Experience with foals and broodmares, have had experience with yearlings up to breakers and young 4/5yo, have experience in leading a team and taking control with own initiative, working with others and on my own, have experience with persons with additional needs. Comfortable in any setting happy to excel in any role to my best ability. QQI Lvl 5&6 coaching and horsemanship, instructing, general yard duties and basic equine first aid.

Type of Ride Work

Years of flat work, with showing competitions done. Couple years jumping with a few small show jumping competitions done up to 1M. Hacking out for 7 years with young and older horses. Not much opportunity to hunt but would be happy to.

Competition Details

Competed in small show jumping competitions in Wexford Equestrian , Competed in showing classes in the Bannow/ Rathangan show in Wexford and competed in a small show jumping competition in Riverlodge Equestrian.
