Qualifications

I have not yet completed any formal equine-related courses, but I plan to study in Ireland in this field.

Duties of Current Occupation

I have been involved with horses since I was a child. My responsibilities have included riding, feeding, watering, grooming, preparing horses for races, and observing their movement and legs for signs of lameness or fatigue.

Equine Work Experience

I am a Mongolian citizen from a herder family. I have been involved in our family’s horse breeding and herding business since I was very young. Although there are few formal horse training programs in Mongolia, I have strong hands-on, practical experience, especially in training, caring for, and handling racehorses.

Specialities

I have worked with a wide range of horses, including stallions and young, unbroken horses. My family owns over 1,000 horses, and I was often the only person assisting my father. I also have experience training green horses (breaking in young horses).

Type of Ride Work

I have competed in all levels of traditional Mongolian horse racing — from local to national events. In Mongolia, riders stop racing at the age of 14, so after that, I supported my younger siblings as a race assistant by helping with saddling, preparation, and managing the horses on race days.

Competition Details

I have direct experience in all aspects of competition preparation. In Mongolia, we don't typically race mares (broodmares), but we do use mare’s milk as a high-nutrition supplement for training young horses to improve their strength and endurance. I have supported horses and riders before, during, and after races.
