Duties of Current Occupation

I have volunteered at a few of my local stables.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding since I was 10 so about 6 or 7 years. I started riding in a riding school riding all kinds of ponies .I would be put on young ponies, green ponies, tall, small any kind. At the moment I am leasing a 16’2 Irish Sports Horse called Timmy. I have had Timmy for about 4 months and before timmy I was leasing an Irish Draught called Foaly for a year. At my current yard where I have leased these horses I have ridden countless young ponies and different types of horses. I help out in lessons and I often give my friends lessons on their Horses.

Specialities

Yes I have worked with My friends Driving Cob Stallion and I wash and groom him regularly. I own a foal and a mare and I am working hard to put manners and respect on the foal while still letting it be a baby but taking slow steps to get him used to humans. I will soon be getting him used to a head collar.

Type of Ride Work

I don’t have one discipline that I stick to. I try them all. I have hunted a few times on my Irish Draught and I have done a few Hunter trials. I don’t compete Showjumping competitively but I do a bit at home and I’m looking to start competing on my friends connemara. My yard hosts Derbys that are a mix of cross country and showjumping and I do them every week that they are on in the summer. I have done a few dressages tests and have scored very high. I am looking to compete more soon enough.

Competition Details

No not exactly but I have Volunteered at multiple riding schools. Mucking out 20 stables at a fast pace efficiently, Filling up haynets, Cleaning out water buckets and filling them up with fresh water, making feeds and cleaning feed buckets, Tacking up horses and Turning them out and bringing them back in.
