Qualifications

I have complete my BHS Ride Safe test as of the 5th of November 2019. Currently I have my provisional BW license it's in need of renewal and I do not own a vehicle. Certified in First Aid - 2021

Duties of Current Occupation

Mucking out, help with feeds & hay, bring horses in from the field, washing legs & picking out feet, sorting rugs. Skipping out every 2 hours & replacing hay if needed. Help tack and un-tack horse for work. Help kids prepare for their lessons.

Equine Work Experience
  1. Tipperary Equestrian Centre in Thurles
  • I worked & received lessons on and off for eight years here. I worked Saturdays & helped with the lessons that happened all day there.
  • I worked in a small riding center for the disabled children just outside in Holycross. I worked there for two months over the summer. I helped lead kids on horses & taught some to trot. I also worked two of their horses during the week.
  1. Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre, in Borriseleigh
  • I worked & received lessons during Summer of 2019. I helped with morning jobs, & prepping horses for their work that day as well as helping the children with their lessons too.
  1. Templemore & Ballycahil
  • I have also worked at other small yards situated in these places of Spring 2019 & Spring 2020. I would prepare the horses for work, I did daily yard duties & I also prepared their arenas' for different types of work.
Specialities

I am not afraid of hard labour intensive work. I am keen to learn, gain experience and work with new animals and people everyday.

Type of Ride Work

###Riding Experience:###

  1. I have fifteen years of English Riding experience from 2009 to present*.
  2. Ridden on two hour to four hour treks over hills & mountains.
  3. Currently studying in Kildalton College 2020 - present. I would also receive one jump, two flat & one x-country lessons four times a week & would spend six hours per week in the saddle. I would also lunge horses I work with once a week, lunging them for half and hour to an hour each time.
Competition Details
  1. I have ridden in several local casual showjumping competitions usually having double clear rounds during the Summers of 2015 & 2016.
  2. I have also ridden & competed in the Inter-Schools competition in Winter 2016. I rode as part of a four man team coming in 22nd & as an individual representative for my school, The Presentation Sec. School, Thurles I would come in 5th. All of these competitions would commence at the Tipperary Equestrian Centre, Thurles either on Saturdays or Sundays.
