During May and June 2024 I worked on the Ruqua Arabian horse stud in South Africa. I’m currently a waitress at a local restaurant.

During my time in South Africa I participated in the general daily running of the farm like weaning of foals, identification by means of DNA, microchipping, earmarks and crowns on horses. I assisted wound care, the control of bandage applications, general grooming and horse "clipping", hoof care and trimming and the application of "Easy Boot". I succeeded in general horsemanship and did dressage exercises. I found the saddling of horses easy. I helped with the preparation of endurance racing horses and took part as a team member during the 2024 National Endurance Race at Fauresmith in South Africa and helped with the transport, care, grooming and feeding of the horses. I easily and confidently completed two 40km endurance rides.
