Equine Work Experience
- My first Equine experience was 3 years ago . I've worked in Ireland 🇮🇪 for a horse producer and professional rider ,Derek McConnel (Longfield Farm-Kildare). I used to do all the daily yard duties including mucking out 2/3 times a day. I was a kind of showjumping groom during the shows (2-3 times a week) and I used to ride 1-2 horses per day when I was there.
- My 2nd (2023) equine experience dates back a few months ago, I've worked as a rider for Paul Schockemöhle(Gestüt Lewitz - Scheckenhof Germany🇩🇪 ).My job was about to train young jumping horses, focusing on flat work and make them approach the world of show jumping through their first jumps and courses. I used to ride 6-8 horses (4-5-6 yo) every day, organise their work-feed- stuff.Thanks to this job I learned what it means to work in a big team- stud and to manage young horses on ground and saddle.
- in season 2024 I've worked as a rider for a private stable in Italy , flat rider for show jumping horses and 3 yo foals.
Specialities
I think one of the things that distinguishes me most is the care and attention towards horses, for me their physical and mental welfare comes first. I don't define myself as a perfect rider , I still have a lot to improve. Due to this I always have a great desire to learn and learn, compare myself with professionals in the profession, have new points of view and gain as much experience as possible. I adapt quickly and am flexible in my tasks.
Type of Ride Work
I’m used to ride different types of horses,especially the Youngers. I have never started a horse but I have ridden some that were recently broken. What I enjoy the most is jumping but I really do like flat work and lunging to improve the communication between horse and rider. For me is essential communicate with through the voice and body language. I feel like I can make feel comfortable-quiet the horses. I'm aware that sometimes it takes me a bit more to find the balance between hands and legs.
Competition Details
I used to do jumping competitions 100-110 cm and some dressage shows(E200-E210)
