I spent seven years riding dressage competitively while growing up in Hawaii. I took a break for university and now live in Europe. I no longer compete, but I still love to ride. I spent three years grooming part time and two years grooming full time. I've done everything from lungeing to turning out, mucking to feeding, calling the vet or farrier, and almost everything in between. I came from a very "do it yourself” share boarding stable which forced me to learn all aspects of horse care. I was a groom for multiple horses and the caretaker of one large Arabian/thoroughbred. I coordinated with trainers, owners, vets/farriers and other grooms. I also spent a month working at a private dressage estate in Germany and was responsible for the daily care of 7 large competition horses. I have cared for horses both personally and professionally and believe in quality care and respect. Bonus: I lived on a sheep farm in France for 3 months and am comfortable around different types of animals!
