Qualifications

I am a licensed riding instructor at KZS (Equestrian Federation of Slovenia, part of FEI).

Duties of Current Occupation

Currently working as a part-time riding instructor at a local stable.

Equine Work Experience

I started riding under professional supervision in a riding school when I was 7 years old and have continued to ride as a part of a small, well organized riding club ever since. I am an active member of said club and have since gained a lot of experience in grooming, exercising, schooling and training a diverse number of horses and ponies. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching at different levels, as well as organizing other horse-related activities. I also have international teaching experience; I've worked as a volunteer trail guide in Greece, as a riding instructor in international riding school in Dubai and in a summer camp in the USA. This past summer, I was the riding director for said camp. In my role, I managed a stable of 15 lesson horses and staff of 5 instructors.

Specialities

I'm an organized but relaxed person. Working with horses (and children) has taught me how to remain calm in stressful situations and how to solve problems on the spot. I can work alone or with other people and am adapt at working in international environments.

Type of Ride Work

I have experience with a variety of horses. I've ridden young horses, old horses, problem horses, school horses. I have solid flatwork skills and knowledge of dressage basics. I've jumped up to 110cm at competitions and more at home, although I'm most comfortable schooling horses on lower jumps and with pole work. I have competed in entry-level dressage competitions and also have some experience in trail riding.

Competition Details

I have some experience competing, mostly in entry-level showjumping classes (up to 1.10m), but also some dressage. This is mostly due to not having my own horse - I was competing on school horses.
