Bio
Hi, I’m Sumari, a passionate horse riding instructor from South Africa. I teach riders of all levels and have experience in yard duties and horse care. I’m hardworking, reliable, and eager to gain experience abroad.Duties of Current Occupation
Duties include riding instruction, supervising lessons, grooming, tacking up, feeding, and general horse care. Assisting with daily yard management, handling horses, and ensuring a safe, positive environment for riders and horses.
Equine Work Experience
Equine experience includes riding and instructing, handling various breeds and temperaments, grooming, tacking up, feeding, basic horse care, and assisting with daily yard duties in a busy riding school environment.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden a variety of horses including Friesians, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Nooitgedachts, Boerperds, and Vlaamperds. I mainly do flatwork as a happy hacker but have done some practice jumping and dressage courses, as well as shorter endurance rides. I am confident with different temperaments and adaptable to various riding styles.
Competition Details
I have taken part in practice competitions where I gained experience with preparation, including plaiting, grooming, and tacking up. While I have not worked in a competition yard or as a competition groom, I am familiar with the basics and eager to learn and gain more experience in a competitive environment.
