Duties of Current Occupation

I have assisted in riding lessons (lead reign etc). Mucked out stables. Tacked up horses. Backed and Lunged horses. Groomed horses. Bathed, plaited and show prepped horses. Hacking out alone or with groups of people. Feeding horses alone.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding, grooming, competing etc horses of various ages and experiences since 2020. I have competed at both training shows and affiliated shows. Completed Module One EQASA, and am working towards Module Two completion. Attended workshops on equine rehab and the role a farrier can play regarding therapeutic shoes etc. Assisted chiropractors, dentists, vets and farriers in holding horses etc. Registered with SASJ, SAEF and SANIP. Rescued, Rehabilitated and Rehomed abused horses.

Work with horses of all breeds, sizes, ages etc.

Type of Ride Work

I have mainly focused on Showjumping and Flatwork. However I have a small amount of experience with Western riding, Natural Horsemanship, Cross Country etc. I am also open to all styles and types of riding. Horses ridden vary from of the track thoroughbreds to rehabilitated bush racing ponies and child lesson ponies.

Competition Details

I have competed at competitions myself and have always prepped my own horses with regards to bathing, plaiting, cleaning tack, feeding, blanketing etc in preparation for competition. However I would be capable and qualified to perform such tasks on horses belonging to others, despite not having much experience.
