Duties of Current Occupation

Since 2019 I have worked in my family’s equestrian centre, feeding horses, mucking out, backing young horses, riding difficult adult horses, teaching some lessons, leading hacks and preparing horses for school, routes and jumping.

Equine Work Experience

I have been around horses all my life and riding since I was very young. I grew up in my family’s equestrian centre, where I learned daily horse care, stable work and riding different types of horses.

I have experience with school horses, ponies, young horses, sensitive horses and more difficult adult horses. Over the last few years I have focused mainly on handling, backing and starting young horses under saddle.

I have competed in national show jumping and in TREC at national and international level. I also have experience in basic dressage, hacking, riding in the countryside, preparing horses for lessons, routes and jumping, and doing basic horse care, including minor treatments and general management.

Specialities

Specialised in handling, backing and starting young horses from the ground to ridden work. Experienced with stallions to a lesser extent. I have produced young horses for school work, hacks and jumping, and helped organise riders and yard tasks.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden young horses, school horses, show jumpers and difficult horses. I have competed up to 1.20m and trained up to around 1.40m. I also have experience hacking and riding in the countryside with different types of horses. No hunting experience.

Competition Details

I have competed nationally in show jumping up to 1.20m, with several top-three results at territorial level. In TREC, I have represented Castilla y León many times and Spain twice internationally. I have won several national TREC competitions individually and with teams, and placed in the top 10 internationally. I have not worked as a competition groom, but I have worked as a groom in important breeding yards.
