Equine Work Experience
I am a skilled and versatile rider with experience in dressage, jumping, breaking in young horses, and producing reliable school horses. My key strengths include confident handling of a wide range of temperaments, effective training methods both on the ground and under saddle, and a calm, professional approach that prioritizes safety and positive development. I am equally confident working with competition horses as I am with green or nervous types, and I have knowledge of stable management, basic horse care and health monitoring. These skills have been built over years of consistent involvement with horses, beginning from an early age when I first started riding. Competing in dressage sharpened my precision, patience, and ability to bring out balance and rhythm, while jumping gave me confidence, quick thinking, and adaptability. Alongside competition, I have gained practical experience in breaking in and schooling horses, for a riding school q
Specialities
• Foals & Stallions: Limited direct experience, I’ve been around both but haven’t worked with them extensively. • Teamwork & Leadership: Experience leading small groups of children through activities and riding related tasks (via my ungdomsledarkurs and prior work). Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting others. • Turnout & Care: Confident with daily horse care, handling a range of temperaments, and ensuring safe turnout.
Type of Ride Work
I’ve ridden a wide variety of horses, from green youngsters to the more challenging “naughty” ones. I have competition experience in both jumping and dressage, and I’m confident riding everything from straightforward schoolmasters to more difficult rides. Flatwork is a big part of my training, and I enjoy developing horses at different stages. I’m adaptable, don’t get easily unseated, and love figuring out how to bring out the best in each horse.
Competition Details
I have competed in both show jumping and dressage, mainly on a smaller scale with my own and other horses. While I haven’t worked on a professional competition yard or as a groom, I am familiar with competition routines, preparation, and ring etiquette.
