Duties of Current Occupation
Handled and ridden Andalusian stallions, shires, ponies, shetlands, and my Irish Sport Horse (loaned 4+ yrs). Duties: mucking out, feeding, grooming, medication, lunging, tacking up, turning in/out, loading/unloading. 15+ yrs riding experience.
Equine Work Experience
I have over 15 years of riding experience and have worked with a wide range of horses, including Andalusian stallions, Shires, ponies, and my current loan horse, an Irish Sport Horse I’ve cared for over 4 years. I’m confident in all aspects of stable management including mucking out, grooming, feeding, administering basic medication, tacking up, lunging, and turning in and out. I regularly help on a yard with around 10 horses, where I assist others and contribute to a supportive, team-based environment. I'm also confident loading/unloading horses and working around high-turnout yards. I take pride in being proactive, calm, and reliable around horses of all temperaments.
Specialities
Worked with stallions, Shires, and Irish Sport Horses. Yard of 10 horses; support others daily. Proactive, team-focused, and confident with high-turnout care. Always ready to help with handling, routine tasks, and general horse welfare.
Type of Ride Work
My main responsibility is riding and caring for my own Irish Sport Horse, which I’ve managed for over 4 years. I’m passionate about developing her fitness and skills through hacking, flatwork. I began riding at small riding schools to build confidence and independence, and have also benefited from focused 1-on-1 lessons which focused on jumping and flatwork.
Competition Details
Participated in small Pony Club events focused on jumping and flatwork when younger, which helped build confidence and skills. I have also attended Chatsworth Horse Trials to broaden my understanding of eventing.
