Duties of Current Occupation

Experienced equestrian offering comprehensive horse care, grooming, and training, including ground exercise, riding, jumping, and full yard management for daily routines and show preparation.

Equine Work Experience

With over 13 years of equine experience, I began in 2012 at a Riding for the Disabled yard before joining the Household Cavalry in 2013. I progressed from general yard duties and ceremonial turnout to qualifying as a Regimental Riding Instructor in 2016. In 2018, I trained young horses for ceremonial roles, and by 2019, I was a full-time military riding instructor, teaching recruits to ride and jump. In 2021, I was selected to manage the Cavalry’s Coaching Team, learning to drive pairs and teams of four. I’ve turned out horses for high-level competitions, competed successfully in four-in-hand, and led a team of five while managing the daily care of 6–8 horses. My career reflects a strong foundation in horsemanship, leadership, and training.

Specialities

Dedicated Equine Trainer & Manager. I have a strong background in training young horses for riding and driving, alongside competing with 4-in-hand teams. Notably, I've managed a British Army coaching team for 4 years and prepared Household Cavalry horses for State Ceremonial duties. Passionate about developing both novice riders and horses throughout my career.
