I am currently awaiting my A Level results in August.

I have been in the environment of horses since I was of a young age. I first started learning how to ride when I was only 4 years old and from there I have gained huge amounts of experience of equine behaviour, riding and the horses health. I have experience within riding schools having participated within them while also helping younger riders to improve their skills. I have also competed in interschool’s show jumping and other competitions up to 1.10m. I am currently working in a horse racing yard where I have been there since November 2018. I ride the horses out doing timed and leisurely work while also completing all other yard duties such as mucking out etc. I have also hunted my own horse. I have a serious interest in the equine industry and I have natural horsemanship with the animals, making me more confident within this type of work. Myself and another colleague had the opportunity to train a horse for racing where it was successfully placed in 2nd in it’s race.

I am a hardworking, determined and passionate individual who aspires to pursue a career in the equine industry. I am a happy and cheerful individual who loves working outdoors and with horses. Any job that I challenge myself with I ensure to give it my greatest effort, completing it to the highest standard possible. I listen and follow instructions carefully and precisely. I am a good time keeper, ensuring that all jobs or activities that are to be completed within a space of time are fulfilled.

I have experience within showjumping, race work and schooling of horses. I have confidently competed up to 1.10m level show jumping with my own horses, getting placed a number of different times. I have experience with lunging, long reining, flatwork, pole work and other schooling techniques with young and experienced horses. Currently working in a racing yard has allowed me to gain experience within racing work. I complete timed and leisurely work with the horses around the gallop.
