I have worked with horses from a young age and kept my own horses in a competitive stable yard and at home. When at the stable yard I volunteered 5 days a week to help with yard chores and with the exercises programs with a range of different horses that was stabled there. The yard I was based in ranged from young horses needing backed to older riding school horses and competitive horses. This helped me expand my knowledge in helping in yards and gave me a great insight to how the industry works. I had helped prepare horses for sales and competitions as well as a few of my own horses. I have prepared my own horses for show season by clipping pulling, manes and keeping in track of vet history, dental history and farrier appointments to keep them correct.

I was a part of a local pony clubs showjumping team and was selected leader of the group. Participating with the team I was in I was in charge of helping my team mates get organised and prepared for shows and events we went to this ranged from themselves and the horses and pony’s we were working with as well as transport and entries.

Since I have been riding from a young age I have been riding quite a few range of horses. I have helped back young horses, schooled green young horses out at competitions and competed competitively. I have done some dressage shows and when I was younger I used to do showing classes and done well in them. My strongest discipline would be showjumping, working Hunter classes and I hand showing. I have qualified for grassroots showjumping when I was in the pony club and currently jumping 1m classes.

As previously mentioned I have worked in a competitive stable yard and have competed as a part of a team and individual in a range of disciplines. I am currently competing in the 1m classes on my current mare and hope to push upwards now shortly to the 1m10cm class. I do all my own preparation for shows and have helped with others as well, this ranges from transportation, plaiting, washing and checking tack.
