Duties of Current Occupation
I am dedicated and ambitious, seeking to further my career in horses. I am looking to gain knowledge and contribute effectively. I'm an active person with a passion for horses and wish to apply my skills and gain as much experience as possible.
Equine Work Experience
I have worked at a livery yard and private dressage yard, both as a Groom/Rider My duties included mucking out, feeding/haying, grooming, tacking up horses for clients, putting horses on the walker, water treadmill and vibrating plate, daily exercising of the horses on hacks, in the arena and canter track. Tack cleaning, maintaining fields and sand-pen's, turning out and bringing in, rugging up, washing and general care of the horses, assisting vets and saddlers when they came and following any treatments plans set. I liaised with clients and owners regularly. I am eager to learn and gain more experience in the field where ever the opportunity arises. I am open to feedback and training to become a more effective employee or leader.
Specialities
I am organised and take pride in keeping things orderly and presentable. I've worked on a livery yard with showjumping, dressage and hunters. Most recently a private dressage yard with 15 of which 8 that were in work. I muck out quickly and to a high standard whilst keeping a tidy yard. I have good time management and organisational skills. I'm a quick learner with an adaptable mindset who works well in a team.
Type of Ride Work
At a former job I was required to ride 1-4 horses per day either in the arena, canter track or on a hack. They were show-jumpers, hunters, dressage or leisure horses ranging from 14h to 18h. A few problem and young horses. At my previous job I rode fit competition dressage horses either on hacks or cooling off after training sessions. I've ridden all my life, primarily for leisure with some polo, jumping and hunting included.
Competition Details
Previous yard was a dressage yard with 8 horses at various levels up to Grand Prix and Olympic.
