I have experience working at busy riding schools in the area, helping out at charity yards and family run yards over the course of 5 years.

tacking up for rides, loading and unloading, mucking out, turning in / out, field maintenance, vet checks.

I have been around horses all my life wether it's family friends yards or helping out over the summer holidays from age 9 to around 15, then when I started college I did Equine Management and the students had yard duties and horse care as part of the course.

I have helped run a "Pony day" for children in the summer holidays at a family-run yard with arena games, hacking, grooming and plaiting in the local area.

I have done mostly flatwork in my riding experience, and have ridden a range of sizes and levels of horses at local riding schools like Berkshire Riding Centre, Snowball Farm. Otherwise I did most of my riding as a student at Merrist Wood College, and sometimes a few livery yard friends who own horses would let me school their horses. I haven't had as much experience in my riding in terms of progressing to jumping and competing, but I can ride confidently in flatwork.

I haven't been in the competition environment in terms of work or competing, but I am a quick learner and I am eager to become a professional groom in this type of environment. I understand there is a high level of responsibility in this type of role, and it requires a lot of organisation and attention to detail to be an asset on your team.
