Bio
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Ania and I am currently working as an Equine Trainer for a large equine charity. I love working with equines of all types, and learning from them every day.
Qualifications

I have GCSEs, A-Levels, and an FdSc in Equine Performance and earned a First in BSc (Hons) Equine Management (Top-Up). I also have a Level 5 Certificate in Equine Behavioural Science.

Duties of Current Occupation

I am currently working as an Equine Trainer for an equine charity, where I care for and train a wide range of equines alongside the other trainers, and also the wider care team, veterinary team and charity as a whole.

Equine Work Experience

I have worked on a private yard, a riding school-livery yard, completed work placements as part of my degree, and also worked at an equine veterinary hospital. Currently I am working at a large equine charity.

In previous roles I have worked with a whole range of equines, from foals to stallions. In my current role again I work with equines of all types, with Learning Theory underpinning the way in which me and my team work with these wonderful animals. In this role I have helped equines work through behavioural concerns, for example fears of vets or farriers, general handling and learning to trust people again.

I have experience working sole charge, and also as part of small and large teams.

Specialities

I have my own horses and donkeys, who have taught me a lot. I have a strong interest in equine behaviour and welfare. I can work quickly and efficiently, all while keeping to high standards. I also love being organized, which comes in very useful. I have a strong work ethic, and can be depended on to do a thorough job. I love learning new things, and am always up for a challenge. Even if I have limited experience in an area, I'm always enthusiastic about giving things a go!

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden since I was 4 years old, learning to ride at a local riding school and later progressing to riding my instructor's horses. I've worked with youngsters (my own horses included), schoolmasters, and everything in between.

I love flatwork and jumping, and really love going out for hacks and exploring new routes with my horses. I've competed in unaffiliated showjumping previously also.

Competition Details

I have competed in unaffiliated showing and showjumping prior to going to university. I am not a competitive rider, but do enjoy the odd show here and there, and aim to get out and about with my horses later in the year.
